Deposits and Payments: A deposit of $500 is required from each traveler, along with their reservation form, to guarantee the booking of a tour. The remaining balance is due in 2 payments.  Airfare payment and Final payment.

1. Airfare Payment is due upon ticketing the flight.

• For those traveling on the land package only, air travel is not included, see the pricing tab.

2. Final Payment is due 4 months from the Travel Date.

• A supplement for single occupancy must be paid in full with the final payment.
• If using a credit card, a 3% service fee will be added to the total.
• Failure to pay the amounts due by the above deadlines is grounds for cancellation of your reservation.,
• Cancellation fees will apply if your reservation is canceled due to late or insufficient payments.
• Tour payment by check is available.  Email: tours@aliyahfoundation.org for check payment options. 

Cancellation Requests: All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to (aliyahtours@gmail.com) or sent by mail to; Aliyah Tours, P.O. Box 74111, Richmond VA 23236).

From your initial tour payment, a $500 deposit is non-refundable. At 3 months prior to the departure date, the cancellation fee includes the deposit of $500 plus 50% of other amounts paid.  At 6 weeks prior to departure date, the cancellation fee includes the initial deposit plus 75% of other amounts paid. Within 6 weeks prior to the departure date, the cancellation fee is 100% of all amounts paid. 

If the tour is canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of Aliyah Tours or our agents (including without limitation: acts of nature, terrorist activities, insurrection, flood, tempest, forceful wind, fire or accident, war or threat, or war declared or undeclared, sabotage, civil disturbance, labor strikes, requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, and unforeseen circumstances), then the full tour price will be refunded less the initial deposit of $500.  Additionally, if a tour is canceled, an alternative date may be offered.  Aliyah may take up to 12 weeks from the date of an official tour cancellation to refund any tour payments as described in the above cancellation policy.  Bank fees assigned by the credit card processing platform are not refundable.  The guest agrees not to file a fraud claim with their card company if Aliyah abides by the cancellation policy noted in these terms and conditions.  The guest agrees to contact Aliyah representatives before initiating a billing dispute with any outside agency. 

Tour Arrangements:

Land: All packages including overnight hotel stays are quoted based upon double occupancy sharing a twin or double room with private facilities. Single rooms are available at an additional cost. Aliyah Tours does not arrange sharing for individual travelers. Aliyah Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels based upon availability when necessary. Sightseeing and entrance fees are included as per the itinerary. Individual passengers and passengers arriving independently from a scheduled group are responsible for their own transfers.

Flight Arrangements: Our travel desk can take care of all your flight requirements. For self-booked flights, plan to submit your confirmed flight information to Aliyah Tours as soon as you book your flight and at least 3 months before the tour date. Group transfers only are provided.  If you require a private transfer, plan to take a taxi and self-pay. 

Exclusions: Flights are booked separately and in addition to the tour price, unless the flights are included in your tour package price.  Other exclusions include airport taxis, private optional tours, charges for passports, excess baggage charges, travel insurance, telephone and cable charges, laundry, meals not specified in the itinerary, liquor, items of a personal nature, and any items not specifically listed as included. 

Passports/VISA
You will be required to provide Aliyah Tours with a copy of your passport before (date TBD), which is 6 weeks before the tour. It can take as long as 10 weeks to process a passport application in the USA. Please expedite passport applications submitted after (date TBD). Also note: The State of Israel requires that your passport have an expiration date valid for at least 6 months after your date of departure from Israel. Other nationals should contact their consulate for visa information. For other destinations, please contact Aliyah Tours.  Aliyah Tours does NOT process visa applications. No inoculations are currently required for travel to Israel. Please contact public health authorities for further information or other destinations.

It is the sole responsibility of each traveler to ensure that they possess all necessary and valid travel documents required for entry into the destination country, including but not limited to passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and any other documentation required by local authorities. Admission to any destination is subject to the discretion of immigration authorities. Aliyah Tours has no control over, and cannot be held liable for, decisions made by immigration officers or border control authorities at the point of entry.

If a traveler is refused entry to a destination country for any reason, including but not limited to incomplete documentation, visa denial, criminal record, or failure to meet entry conditions:

• The traveler shall bear all resulting costs, including but not limited to repatriation, accommodation, meals, transport, and related expenses.

• The traveler shall not be entitled to any refund or compensation from Aliyah Tours for any unused portion of the tour.

If refusal of entry results from false statements, misrepresentation, or non-disclosure of material facts by the traveler, Aliyah Tours reserves the right to recover any additional costs incurred and to deny participation in future tours.

Travel Insurance:
Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Get Travel Insurance here and purchase coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, medical evacuation, and baggage loss. The best coverage, including "Cancel for any Reason" coverage is available if you purchase your insurance within two weeks of booking your tour. 

Baggage:
Suitcases: 1 per person, not to exceed 50 lbs. for 1 bag. Each can measure up to 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Carry On Luggage: 1 per person, not to exceed 11 lbs. Each can measure up to 45 linear inches (length + height + width).

Deviations:
Any change in the basic program will result in a charge of $150 per change per person plus any additional charges that may apply for revised air or land arrangements.

Unexpected Airline Challenges:
Airlines can and will make unexpected changes to travel itineraries due to weather, mechanical problems, and staffing issues. Should your flight be delayed or cancelled, it is up to the passenger to work directly with the airline to rebook flights to the intended destination. Aliyah Tours is not responsible for airline changes that cause delays, cancellations, late arrivals, baggage loss, and associated expenses. Group transfers are limited to the original arrival time and will not be available for rescheduled flights. (Air travel ticketing agents affiliated with Aliyah Tours are not responsible for rebooking your cancelled or delayed flights.) Travel insurance is highly recommended to address all these challenges and the associated expenses for the traveler. 

Health and Mobility Challenges:
Tours in Israel include areas that have uneven footing, few handrails, rocky pathways, and some steep climbs. Click here for Holy Land Accessibility & Wheelchair Access Questions 

The streets and sites we visit are not wheelchair and walker-friendly. Most of our tours include 3-5 miles of walking per day. Guests with mobility challenges or other health issues should make private arrangements to travel with a caregiver who can stay with them if they need to opt out of a tour stop. Tour drivers will take breaks and lock up their buses when unattended. Guests cannot be left alone on an unattended bus should they choose to opt-out. If you have health challenges, please consult an Aliyah Tours representative before you put down a deposit on a tour.  

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) Requirement - Israel Tours

All non-Israeli guests participating in the tour are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) prior to arrival in Israel. The ETA-IL is a mandatory pre-entry approval implemented by the Israeli government in 2025 for travelers from visa-exempt countries. Guests must apply online through the official ETA-IL website at Israel-entry | Page Home and receive approval before boarding their flight. Do not use third party sites for the application process. The cost of the official ETA-IL visa application is 25 Shekels or about $7.50. The application approval should be submitted to Aliyah Tours one month before departure. Earlier submission is strongly recommended to avoid any delays or issues. Approval is typically valid for up to two years or until passport expiration (whichever comes first) and allows for multiple entries during its validity. It is the responsibility of each guest to complete the application accurately and in a timely manner. Failure to obtain ETA-IL approval may result in denial of boarding or entry into Israel, and the tour operator will not be held responsible for any costs or losses incurred as a result.

European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) Requirements

No carrier shall be responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time tour participants are not on board its own conveyance. The tour programs are planned in advance. If between planning time and the actual tour operation, circumstances beyond control require changes, All parties mentioned in this disclaimer, their agents or representatives abroad and/or its employees, reserve the right to vary itineraries and substitute components of tour programs. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for any reason whatsoever to alter the arrangements of the itinerary, such alterations may be made without penalty to the Aliyah Tours operators. The right is reserved to accept or refuse any person as a member of the tour.
